Adam McCulloch is a journalist and musician and lives in south-east London.
He was born in the Petts Wood area of south east London and was soon gallivanting around the nearby countryside in pursuit of his family’s two English springer spaniels.
Adam’s profession is magazine, newspaper and website production, and writing. He currently works for a national newspaper on its travel pages (article here on Switzerland), and freelances at various publications, in sectors ranging from theatre to HR, business, farming, aviation and finance. He also produced brochures for conferences, exhibitions and other events. Some of his writing can be seen here. (Latest review for Jazzwise here.)

Adam is also a saxophonist and composer in the jazz, funk and soul genres and has been playing semi-pro since the mid-1980s. He has played in a number of bands active on London’s club scene and toured on the continent. Among his credits are two tracks on Roxette’s album Look Sharp, in 1988. He organises bands for weddings and other events, and plays in big bands (his own music and other people’s) and gives lessons. Some of his songs, as recorded by a big band can be heard on Soundcloud, others through his music website. Adam occasionally writes reviews of jazz gigs – here’s one from November 2017.
Adam can be heard (and seen!) when playing with the Mick Collins Legacy Big Band at the Sundridge Park Working Men’s Club (Bromley North) on the first Monday of every month.
